Overview
Water treatment is one of the defining infrastructure challenges of our region. From large-scale seawater desalination on the Gulf coast to municipal treatment plants across Africa and tertiary water reuse in industrial settings, the process equipment that makes these plants run has to be reliable, correctly specified, and well installed.
MCI supplies the mechanical, electrical, and chemical handling equipment that goes into treatment and desalination facilities. We work with EPC contractors, plant operators, and municipal authorities to source the right packages and coordinate site delivery.
Our scope includes reverse osmosis membrane systems, high-pressure and feed pumps, dosing and chemical injection skids, filtration units, instrumentation, and the structural and piping packages that hold a treatment plant together.
Our scope in water treatment
- Reverse osmosis (RO) desalination equipment, membranes, pressure vessels, energy recovery devices
- Pumps, high-pressure feed, booster, transfer, and chemical dosing pumps
- Filtration systems, multimedia, cartridge, and ultrafiltration packages
- Chemical dosing and storage, tanks, skids, metering pumps, instrumentation
- Membrane bioreactor (MBR) and conventional activated sludge equipment for wastewater
- Process piping, valves, and instrumentation in stainless and special alloys
- Installation coordination and equipment commissioning support
Where this work fits
Desalination is core infrastructure in the Gulf and increasingly relevant across North Africa and water-stressed parts of southern Europe. Municipal treatment and reuse programmes are expanding across the continent, both for potable water supply and to relieve pressure on conventional resources.
MCI sources and supplies into these projects, with the trading discipline that lets us aggregate orders efficiently and the consulting capacity to advise on technology selection where it helps.
